No other school would have invested so much time and effort into character building and providing opportunities where students could grow and develop their potential, and to try and learn new things. I was a really shy, introverted kid when I first entered Nobel, but through the school’s well-rounded programs and conducive environment, over time I learned how to interact and work with others more. My friendly teachers allowed me to communicate and connect with them on a personal level, which made learning and asking questions a lot more fun. I could tell that they cared more about the kind of person I was than just what I could memorise from a textbook and cough out onto an exam paper. Academics were important to them, but character – much more so. Nobel taught me to have high standards and to strive for excellence in everything I do, never compromising on quality, which as an engineer, is an incredibly important trait to have. I am truly grateful for everything I learned at Nobel, in the classroom and beyond. If you are looking for the same experience for your child, I highly recommend Nobel and all they have to offer. Sharolyn Ong, Class of 2011 Bachelor of Science - BS (Hons) Speech-Language Pathology/Pathologist, United Kingdom Speech and Language Therapist - Harrogate and Distrct NHS Foundation Trust During my time in Nobel, my friends and I would do community work with Superflow Foundation. We went out into the community and gave out food, participated at the soup kitchen where we helped prepare food, and at SuperTouch Kids which is a special school for children with special needs. While volunteering, we met many people with all kinds of different stories. It was fun doing this community work with my friends. I currently work as a speech and language therapist and I help children with additional needs. My experience through the Superflow Foundation, especially the SuperTouch Kids inspired me and has shaped me to be who I am today. So if you and your friends have the chance to do that, make sure you don’t miss out because it’s so much fun doing it together, but it also helps you learn so much about helping other people. Kew Ming Qiao, Class of 2022 Top in the World 2022 - Mandarin Foreign Language I have made many friends who were always there for me through thick and thin. They have had a significant impact on my life and have helped me grow into the person I am today. The memories created during my 11 years at Nobel including competitive sports days, enjoyable field trips, PE Classes and more wil certainly be something that comes to mind when I reflect on my time at Nobel in the future. Sean Ng, Class of 2014 First Class Honours, Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Top Achiever Scholarship, University of Southampton, Top in the World 2014 - Cambridge ICT Lead Product Demo Designer, Dyson, United Kingdom, Co-Founder of Ocrux Studios I had a wonderful experience at Nobel. The school provided me with an excellent foundation in science and mathematics, and provided me with the opportunity to explore a variety of extracurricular activities from joining the Robotics & Filmmaking clubs in my earlier years to becoming the President of the Debate Club and Editor-in-Chief of the Editorial Board in my senior year. These formed the basis for my soft skills in critical thinking, public speaking, writing, and project management, all of which were essential for my professional career. Olivia Ch'ng Yuette Li, Class of 2022 Top in Malaysia 2022 - Literature in English The most impactful relationships that have helped me grow as a person here in Nobel are the relationships with my friends. Throughout the years, I have been granted the opportunity to meet a variety of people from different backgrounds. This allowed me to be more empathetic towards others as I can better understand how other people think and feel. Furthermore, these friendships have allowed me to learn how to be more patient and adopt a more positive outlook towards hardships. Overall, my relationship with my friends have made me a better person and these are relationships that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Clarine Chun Founding Director A sound education empowers and prepares our children to confront the realities, challenges and issues of life and to transform them for the good of our community and our society. Nobel International School established since 2004 (formerly known as Sekolah Sri Nobel) exists for one primary purpose, namely, to partner with parents to provide quality education for our children. Today the task of providing our children with a sound education is no longer an optional extra but a basic necessity. In the context of an ever increasingly challenging world environment which unrelentingly drives us towards societal interdependence in tandem with the pursuit of excellence demands our urgent attention to prepare our children to better harness all of their God given abilities to not only do well for themselves but to promote the well being of other individuals as well. At Nobel, we provide a broad-based education which spans the development and growth, both in academics as well as good character building to produce well rounded and wholesome individuals. We believe that inculcating and helping our children live godly lives will give them a clear moral compass to guide them in doing what is good and, only then, will our children find a real and meaningful purpose in combining knowledge and life skills for the betterment of everyone. A sound education empowers and prepares our children to confront the realities, challenges and issues of life and to transform them for the good of our community and our society. We at Nobel treat education seriously and handle the task of education passionately. The education process can be laborious but it is also rewarding when future generations can look back proudly at how their forebears have done well in educating them as best as they could. We welcome your continued partnership in the educational process in Nobel. Tan Seng Kee Director Message from the Founding Director

  • About Us | Nobel International

About us Our Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Philosophy Vision To Produce Global Citizens with Noble Hearts and Noble Minds Mission Our school provides high quality education in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. Nobel empowers students to meet current and future challenges to develop social awareness, civic responsibility, and personal growth within the greater community. Our Journey Towards Excellence Nobel International School was founded in 2004 by a group of educators and business leaders who saw the need for a high-quality school in the city. They believed that students should be exposed to a diverse and challenging curriculum that would prepare them for success in the global community. The school's founders worked tirelessly to secure funding and resources, and after several years of planning and preparation, Sekolah Rendah Sri Nobel finally opened its doors to the first group of 76 students, using the national curriculum. Our goal was to provide students with a holistic education, making a difference in their lives by ensuring that learning is fun and engaging. We introduced the concept of Innovation Centre where each class was organised into three or four smaller groups, with each group working on different subjects or skills. Character Building was an integral part of the curriculum to support the goal of helping our students build good character. With the introduction of a Form 1 and Form 2 class, Sekolah Menengah Sri Nobel was formed in the following year. The year 2012 saw an increased need for an international curriculum, and the school rebranded Sri Nobel to Nobel International School by adopting the Cambridge International Curriculum. This curriculum encourages students to think critically, develop a curious mind, and be life-long learners. Along with this development, the school upgraded the Character Building programme to the Character Transformation programme. Embracing the ever-changing demands of the 21st Century requires the school to support our students in transforming their character with qualities like courage to venture beyond their comfort zones, resilience to handle the constant changes in their environment, and determination to achieve the goals they have set for themselves. The onset of the pandemic in 2020 due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus resulted in students needing support to manage their emotional and mental well-being. The dual-purpose school was birthed in 2021, where we introduce programmes to provide strategies and resources to assist our students to navigate through the challenges they were facing and enable them to be in a stronger position to address future demands. Today, Nobel International School is a thriving institution, known for its commitment to academic excellence and the well-being of its diverse student body. The school's mission is to provide students with a world-class education that prepares them for success in an increasingly interconnected world. Shaping Global Citizens with Noble Hearts and Noble Minds Nobel International School is a premier educational institution that provides a complete educational journey for students from Early Years (Ages 4 to 6), Elementary (Year 1 to 6), Junior and Senior School (Year 7 to 11). The school is dedicated to providing students with a well-rounded education that goes beyond the classroom, and it is committed to fostering a love of learning in every student, along with transforming our students with noble characters and compassion to reach out to the underprivileged community. Wholesome education where a child is given opportunities to reach his/her full potential is the heartbeat of Nobel’s founder, Ms Clarine Chun. Thus, the school’s programmes are aimed to optimise the learning experience of every child. Ms Clarine Chun, who is also the founder of the FunGates System for preschools, established Nobel to carry through what was started in the kindergartens. FunGates is designed with a strong emphasis on building integrity and values as part of the character development of a child, thereby producing children who perform better academically, socially and spiritually. Nobel offers a continuation of that programme to help build a solid foundation in a child’s life, enabling them to grow intellectually, physically, spiritually, and morally. It aims to build a strong foundation during their crucial schooling years and prepare them for the next stage, Key Stage 2. Elementary School (Primary) Nobel International School provides young learners (aged 6 to 11) in Key Stages 1 and 2 with a combination of two exceptional curriculums - the world-renowned Cambridge Primary Programme and the comprehensive International Primary Curriculum (IPC), which promotes a holistic approach to education. These qualities are essential for success in academics and in future endeavours in a well-rounded education beyond the classroom. Outreach Programme The importance of giving back to the community is part of the heartbeat and culture at Nobel International School, which is reflected in one of our core values, Compassion to Reach Out to Others. In partnership with Fungates Superflow Foundation, our students have the opportunity to actively participate in various community outreach programmes, such as serving at Soup Kitchen, providing tutorial services and, assisting pre-schoolers at the Happiness Haven. We also encourage our students to actively participate in fundraising events to support the community. By immersing themselves in the realities of life faced by the less privileged, our students will develop empathy and compassion, which is a crucial aspect of their growth as individuals. These values will equip them to create a positive impact on the world around us.
